Pumpkin Investigation was a big hit!
First students needed to describe the outside of their pumpkin and estimate the amount of creases it had. We were trying to find unique and interesting words to describe our pumpkins. Next we had to carve out a lid and start scooping the guts out! At this point we were looking for describing words for the inside and also estimating the seeds. Finally, we carved our design in. After recess we counted all our seeds using skip counting and then graphed our totals as a class.
