Today we went on the BEST field trip ever, to Ellis Bird Farm! Ellis Bird Farm is both a non-profit company and a working farm. We were able to learn so much about animals, our environment, and Canada's history. We started the day by collecting invertebrates in the wetlands pond. We then made some bird feeders and learned about pollinators! We even got to see a live bee hive. We also learned about owls, purple martins, swallows, and more! We already knew a lot as we have been studying different animals in our science unit. This helped us to understand what we've learned a little bit better. Ellis Bird Farm is free to explore and is open all summer.

Dear mrs.Silhan my favorite part of our trip was feeding all the goats and petting the little baby chick. I learned that owls spit out owl pebbles. Owl pebbles have stuff like bones and fur of a dead mouse.
